Bonn, Bob

Bob Bonn was born in Hollywood and resides in Laguna Beach, California with his wife, two sons and a kitten named Luna Girl. He learned about painting from his father, a well-known Laguna Beach artist, who instilled in him a deep appreciation for color and technique. He received a degree in fine arts at Cal State Northridge and UC Santa Barbara. Upon graduation, he continued his studies independently, traveling throughout Europe and studying both ancient and contemporary arts and galleries.

Bonn has created a unique style. Grinning cats, laughing dogs and a wonderful collection of other wild characters, populate his paintings. His ability to create a clever image, then infuse it with bold design elements and raw color gives his work an original and dramatic flair. His art grabs your senses and transports you into an imaginary world of brilliant, pure color.
